Question: What is VINterchangeŽ, and how does it work?
                     VINterchange is a way of looking up used parts using the Vehicle                      Identification Number (VIN). We have a master VIN decoder that gives                      up to 55 data points about the options on any vehicle. Based on this                      complete vehicle configuration, it becomes possible to look up a part                      type assembly, like the front door, without answering any more                      questions. The issues like power and manual windows are decided                      based on the VIN.

 Question: How does VINterchangeŽ differ from Hollander Interchange?
                    The look up for Hollander Interchange is based on the part type, year,                     and vehicle model. Because this lookup gives very few clues to the                     vehicle's options, many additional questions must be answered before                     the correct part can be selected. VINterchange looks up the same part                     based on the year, make, model, and sub-model going to a VIN, or the                     direct input of the VIN. In either case you end up answering fewer                     questions to find the answer.

 Question: How much year - model coverage does VINterchangeŽ have?
                    The standard 17 character VIN was first produced on all vehicles world                      wide in 1981. VINterchange therefore covers vehicles from 1981 to the                      present. This is now over 25 years ago. We think that this is far enough                      back that anything before that date is a specialty concern, does not have                      a big impact on used parts sales, and need not be covered.

 Question: Can VINterchangeŽ transform the recycling industry?
                     Although the VIN based look up of VINterchange is unique, it is not the                      most important feature of the product. VINterchange numbers are                      assigned to complete assemblies, and summarize the OEM numbers                      on the individual parts of an assembly. This means that the lookup of a                      used part can be by OEM the number of any part of the assembly. When                      we talk to our customers we should be speaking the same language.                      The OEM number sells most parts. Being able to use the OEM number                      could increase the market share for used parts simply by letting                      recyclers speak the same language.

 Question: How long has VINterchange been up and running?
                     We have been working on the product for over six years. In that time we                      have worked hard to develop a new product that continues to get better.                     VINterchange is based on many alliances with suppliers of OEM and                      after market data and parts.
